Your questions answered...

Ordering and Delivery
When should I order my rose petals?

We take orders up to 12 months in advance of your special event. Ordering early ensures you can receive your chosen colour.
When will my rose petals arrive?
Your order will be dispatched approximately 4 weeks before your special event so that they arrive 2 to 3 weeks prior.
Do I need to be at my postal address when the rose petals arrive?
No. If you are not at home when the rose petals arrive, a card will be left for you to collect them from the nearest post office.
Where do you deliver?
Absolutely anywhere! Australia-wide and overseas.
Can I take rose petals and cannons on the plane with me?
Yes, you can take our rose petals and cannons on the plane with you to anywhere in the world. Our brides have taken our products to Hawaii, Fiji, India, China, Hong Kong, Dubai, New Zealand, England, Korea, Canada and America.

How many Large Packs of rose petals do I need to decorate an aisle?

As a rough guide, one large pack will provide a good scattering for 2 to 3 metres of your aisle. Most aisles are 6 to 10 metres in length so we recommend 4 large packs of rose petals for a standard aisle.
How many Large Packs of rose petals do I need for a flower girl's basket?
For a small 10cm deep basket you will need half a large pack. A large basket will require a full large pack.
How many Large Packs of rose petals do I need to decorate the tables?
One large pack of rose petals is recommended for scattering around the centrepiece over approximately 5 to 8 tables. One large pack would be suitable for approximately 40 guests plus the cake table, registry table and the bridal table.
How many Miniature Rose Heads do I need to decorate my tables?
We suggest approximately 25 heads per table of 10 guests for a scattering around the centrepiece. Therefore, you would require one packet of miniature rose heads for every 40 guests.

Rose Petal Cannons
How many Rose Petal Cannons do I need?

For a good photographic effect we recommend 3 to 6 cannons. Most couples like to treat the bridal party or close family members to a cannon.
Do the Rose Petal Cannons make a loud noise?
The cannons make a bit of a bang when they are released but it is not loud enough to scare anyone.
Can you release the Rose Petal Cannons more than once?
No. The Rose Petal Cannons are single release only.
When should we release the Rose Petal Cannons?
Typically you release the cannons when you exit the ceremony or during the photo shoot. However, many couples have released them when they're kissing at the alter, cutting the cake, announcing their arrival, during the bridal waltz or for the proposal.
TIP: make sure you let your photographer know that you're using the cannons so he/she can capture their release on film.

Throwing Cones
How many rose petal Throwing Cones do I need?

We recommend one Throwing Cone for every 2 to 3 guests. The ladies and children love to use the elegant cones but it is really dependent on the couple's budget.
When do I use the Throwing Cones?
Most couples save the Throwing Cones for when they exit the ceremony or during the photo shoot so the romance of the occasion can be captured on film.
What do I put the Throwing Cones in?
You will need a basket or a box to display the Throwing Cones. Attractive baskets can be purchased quite cheaply at one of the discount stores such as Go-Lo or The Warehouse.
When do I give the Throwing Cones to my guests?
Ask your flower girl or a close family member to pass the basket of cones around at the end of the ceremony or just before the photo shoot.

Quality
Do you send samples of the rose petals?
We have a Complimentary Colour Matching service to match a swatch of fabric or invitation paper to our rose petals but we do not typically send samples. If you would still like to see the rose petals I would suggest ordering a Gift Pack of rose petals from $25.95 plus postage and handling. Beautifully presented, why not use it for a gift afterwards?
Do the rose petals stain the bridal gowns or table linen?
No. Our dried rose petals do not stain. We do not use any dyes or fragrance oils in the rose petals. Our rose petals are totally natural and biodegradable unlike cheap imported pot pourri you may see in shops. If you have heard stories or rose petals staining then they will have used either fresh rose petals (which stain because of the moisture in them) or un-natural dried rose petals.
Can the rose petals be placed in water?
Yes. Our rose petals look stunning floating in water. Many of our customers are beauty salons and day spas. Try floating the rose petals in an oblong vase with scented candles.
Are the rose petals like pot pourri?
No. Pot pourri is a combination of different plant species. Our products contain only premium quality rose petals, which is why we have such an extensive colour range. We do not use any fragrance oils, dyes or any other plant species with the rose petals. They are strictly high quality rose petals.
Are your rose petals freeze dried?
Our rose petals are dried in a commercial designed drying room that has been purpose built for rose petals. The rose petals are not dried using the freeze drying technique but our drying technique is "state of the art", having been refined over 20 years of commercial drying. Also, because our roses are grown on site, we have selected specific rose varieties for their drying properties and petal quality. They maintain their vibrance after drying and in some cases become even brighter during our drying process.

Miscellaneous
Do you sell Fresh Rose Petals or Fresh Roses?
Depending on your location we may be able to supply you with fresh rose petals and/or fresh roses. The best thing to do is call us on: 1300 785 101 and see if they're available.
I am not sure what colour rose petals to order, can you recommend a colour for my wedding?
We would be delighted to help you select a colour. Our Complimentary Colour Matching Service allows you to send a swatch of fabric or invitation paper for us to match to the rose petals. Otherwise, email us a photo of your bridesmaid's dresses or simply discuss it with us over the phone. Because we grow all of our own roses we often have a number of different unadvertised shades of rose petals that may be suitable for your wedding. Send us a sample and we'll find the perfet petal!
Do you sell rose petals wholesale?
For very large orders we can offer a reduced rate that is comparable to wholesale prices.
How should I store my rose petals?
Storing your rose petals is very easy. Simply leave them sealed in our unique packaging in a dry environment. They will look as beautiful on your wedding day as the day you received them. Don't put them in the bathroom or refrigerator.
Do you have a shop I can visit?
No. Simply Rose Petals is an online business that is operated from the rose farm. We are not open to the general public. However, call or email us and we would love to discuss your rose petal requirements.
